About NUDO Homes
NUDO Homes was established in 2022 with a clear purpose: to provide dependable, person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The desire to create NUDO Homes grew from a genuine interest in helping others, shaped in part by personal experience with someone with an intellectual or developmental disability. That experience reinforced the importance of seeing each person as an individual with unique abilities, preferences, goals, relationships, and support needs.
From the beginning, NUDO Homes was built around the belief that quality services should support more than basic needs. They should help individuals develop skills, make meaningful choices, participate in everyday life, and receive the level of assistance that is right for them.

We envision communities where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have access to opportunities, relationships, and the support needed to pursue lives that reflect their own goals and preferences.
Our Approach
We believe good support begins with understanding the person, not simply the diagnosis.
That means learning what matters to the individual, how they prefer to communicate, what they enjoy, what they want to accomplish, and where support can be most helpful.
We also recognize that independence looks different for everyone. One person may be working toward preparing meals, managing a schedule, using transportation, or participating in employment. Another may need substantial daily assistance while still having meaningful control over routines, activities, and personal decisions.
Our role is to provide support that reflects each individual’s needs while encouraging participation, confidence, and personal growth.

Supporting Community Life
A meaningful life includes opportunities to be part of the community. Depending on the individual’s interests and goals, this may include employment, recreation, volunteering, faith activities, friendships, shopping, appointments, learning opportunities, or other everyday experiences. NUDO Homes supports individuals in participating in community life in ways that are meaningful and appropriate for them.
Working Together
Effective IDD services often involve a network of support.
NUDO Homes works with individuals, families, guardians or legally authorized representatives, service coordinators, case managers, healthcare professionals, and other providers as appropriate.
We value clear communication, coordination, accurate documentation, and follow-through so that everyone involved understands the individual’s needs and approved service plan.
Built With Purpose
Since being established in 2022, NUDO Homes has focused on developing the structure, systems, and regulatory foundation needed to provide services responsibly. The organization has now entered its licensed service-delivery phase.
NUDO Homes primarily serves eligible individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through applicable Texas programs, including Home and Community-based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living (TxHmL), as authorized.
HCS and TxHmL are Medicaid waiver programs administered by Texas Health and Human Services. Families can learn more about these programs and their eligibility requirements through the state’s official resources.
We also offer private-pay service options based on the individual’s needs, the type of support requested, and service availability. This gives individuals and families additional options when support is needed outside of, or in addition to, Medicaid waiver services.
NUDO Homes serves individuals throughout the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities.
