HCS Services

Home and Community Based Services (HCS) is a statewide Texas program that provides individualized support and services to eligible people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. HCS enables individuals to receive assistance in their own homes or other community-based settings rather than institutional environments.

Texas Home Living

Texas Home Living is a Medicaid waiver program for people with an intellectual or developmental disability who live in their own home or with their family. Rather than moving into a residential setting, the person stays right where they are, and TxHmL brings in the supports that help them build skills, stay healthy, work, and take part in their community.

Private-Pay IDD Services

Private-Pay IDD Services provide flexible, personalized support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose families choose to arrange services directly. Support can be tailored to individual needs, preferences, daily routines, independence goals, and community participation, with services arranged separately from Medicaid waiver programs.
